Academic
Background. Before the courts,
there was the classroom.
A systems
thinker's mind.
Andrew's foundation in physics gave him something most athletes never develop: the ability to break down complexity, identify patterns, and solve for the unknown. He originally planned to pursue medicine. That analytical, science-driven mindset never left him.

The same principle,
every venture.
The academic foundation, rigorous, detail-oriented, performance-focused, shaped the way Andrew approaches everything outside of basketball. It is the through-line between his life as a professional athlete and his work as an entrepreneur and investor.

Athletic
Career. 13+ years at the
highest level of the sport.
Drafted.
Not given.
Andrew Nicholson was selected 19th overall by the Orlando Magic in the 2012 NBA Draft, the culmination of a career built on discipline and relentless preparation. His jersey number, 44, was retired by St. Bonaventure University and he is an inductee of their Athletics Hall of Fame.

Longevity defined
by excellence.
Since 2017, Andrew has competed continuously across elite leagues in Asia. He currently plays for the Seoul Samsung Thunders in the Korean Basketball League, a career defined not just by where it started, but by the standard it has maintained across every organisation he has represented.

The
Builder. Eight ventures.
One through line.
Built while
still competing.
Andrew began building his business portfolio while still actively competing as a professional athlete, a deliberate decision rooted in his belief that elite athletes must prepare for life beyond their playing career, not after it. Recess Athletics Club and Revibe represent this conviction most visibly.

Strategic bets
on what's next.
From franchise investment in Crumbl Cookies Ontario, including involvement in launching one of the first Canadian locations, to a stake in Canurta Therapeutics at the frontier of plant-based medicine, Andrew's portfolio reflects a long-held belief: recovery and wellness are the next frontier of performance.

Data-driven.
By design.
MoveFit Performance and Rise Up Men's Basketball League complete a portfolio built around the same ecosystem: sport, health, recovery, and community intersecting at every level. One thousand athletes. Countless careers extended. The same standard Andrew built his own career on.

Values &
Vision. Do the work. Build with
intention. Leave things
better than you found them.
Elite standards
belong everywhere.
Andrew Nicholson's work is driven by a single conviction: that the discipline, preparation, consistency, and excellence that define elite sport belong in every area of life. His businesses are not diverse for the sake of diversity; they are connected by a shared vision of building an ecosystem where sport, health, recovery, and community intersect.

At the centre
of everything,
community.
From 44Hoops Foundation, founded when Andrew was still early in his NBA career, to Recess Athletics Club, his most visible and personal venture, Andrew has consistently invested in building spaces where people can grow. Named for his number. Built for the next generation.

Let's
work
together.
Whether it's a project, partnership, or conversation. I'm always open to connecting with people who are building something meaningful.
